In true Yeti style, we are exploring the Monastic Ales – a Belgian Dubbel to be exact. Of course, the Yeti’s have added their flair and interpretation to create “The Trojan”!

This beer combines a complex malt bill to boost the rich malty flavours, but also enhance the deep caramelized, raisin and plum notes. To add to this complexity the Yetis made their own candi sugar from scratch. This gives an incredible caramelized flavour as well as an ideal base for fermentation.

At this point we unleashed the Trojan Horse…

To round the flavours we infused this beer with Rum and Brandy aged wooden staves.

We would also like to thank our friends at The Old Packhouse Distillery in Tzaneen for supplying us with a careful selection of French white oak and toasted American oak staves.
