Happy 203 year anniversary to Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese of Sachsen-Hildburghausen!

This year Yeti celebrate this momentous event with a Dunkel style (which really became the European dark lager). This beer goes way back, as far as the 12th century.

In the 1500’s, thanks to the purity law, summer brewing was outlawed as a quality initiative. This means that the first beers served at the Beerfest were Dunkel style.

So obviously to pay our respects to the culture we chose the style from where it began!

Loving the Bretzel, we have once again brewed our festival beer with this as one of the ingredients. This beer is rich in malty, bread crust, biscuit, and some toasty notes with a clean dry finish. The hops are typically

German but restrained on aroma and bitterness.

This is a beautiful and flavorful celebration beer.
