Refunds, Returns & Exchanges Policy
(Unfortunately, this is the part where we act like adults.)
Here’s the deal: we make damn good beer. We package it properly. We ship it properly. If something still goes wrong, we’ll fix it — not because we’re soft, but because we actually care about what leaves our brewery.
Everything below is written in plain language because we refuse to sound like a bank’s FAQ page.
1. Returns (The Rules. Yes, We Have Them.)
Beer is a consumable product. Once it’s in your fridge, it’s yours.
Not “yours unless you get bored.”
Not “yours unless your buddy drank it all and now you want your money back.”
We only accept returns when:
- Your cans arrive damaged, leaking, or looking like they lost a bar fight.
- We sent you the wrong pack (6-pack vs 12-pack vs case).
- Something is missing from your order.
- There’s a genuine manufacturing issue.
We don’t do “buyer’s remorse.” We’re not Takealot.
2. Damages — This Part Actually Matters
Check your order the second it arrives.
If something’s wrong, email orders@ocbrewery.co.za immediately.
Please include a photo.
Not because we think you’re lying – we just need evidence so we can jump straight to the “fixing it” part instead of playing Guess That Dent™ over email.
3. Refunds (aka: Money Back, But Not For Fun)
If the issue is legit, we’ll sort:
- A replacement pack, or
- Store credit, or
- A refund to your original payment method.
Turnaround: 7 – 10 working days. We will not make you meditate in a queue.
4. Exchanges (The Clock Is Ticking)
You have 5 working days to request an exchange.
Requirements:
- Unopened cans
- Original packaging
- Not stored in a car boot during summer (please… why…)
Sale items:
Look, if it was discounted, it was probably the last of its kind.
We’ll try to exchange it, but no promises.
5. Merchandise Returns (Clothes & Other Non-Beer Stuff)
If you’re returning merch, it must be in original packaging.
Return shipping is on you — unless the item is faulty, then we cover it.
Once it gets back to us, we refund the product cost minus shipping, unless it was our mistake.
6. Beer Returns (The Important Line Everyone Reads Too Late)
If there’s an issue with your beer — damaged cans, defects, wrong items — contact orders@ocbrewery.co.za.
We do not accept returns for opened or half-finished cans. If you’ve already consumed it, congratulations: you’ve accepted the terms.
7. Legal Stuff (The Boring Bits We’re Forced to Say)
This policy follows the Consumer Protection Act of South Africa. We only refund/replace opened alcohol if it was defective at the time of sale.
That’s it. Simple. Direct. No corporate gymnastics.
